Honda new V4 powered bike comes this autumn

Honda has confirmed to show off its ͠ production version that preview a new breed of bike this autumn. This new bike is planned to be in dealers next spring. As part of Honda preparation, the Honda Europe Division is carrying out a survey to get Honda’s fans opinion about the upcoming ͠ powered bike.
Honda’s survey involves a variety of questions digging the customer perception and opinion, such as overall impression, front view, back view, side view, the color, capacity, motorcycle category and etc.
According our source at MCN suggest the bike will be a 1200cc ͠ at the high-end of Honda�s range � more Super Blackbird than Fireblade.
The other clues come from Honda�s Senior Managing Director Shigeru Takagi’s statement. See after the jump, along with Honda ͠ concept pictures!

Takagi said: �We really believe we can develop a new era starting with this V4-powered machine. It is just the beginning and represents a new breed of Honda which will define Honda�s own taste and styling.

�This bike will be the perfect road machine that Honda customers have called for. It will be an epoch-making machine and more bikes from the V4 platform are possible.

�We know people think this bike is going to be a replacement for the VFR800 and the Blackbird but we do not see this bike as a replacement for anything. We see it as an all-new breed of machine, something very special.�



Takagi refused to reveal the price, but did confirm when we can buy it. He said: �The finished V4-powered machine will be seen in autumn 2009. The bike will be on sale in spring 2010.

“The bike is different to the concept shown for the first time at Milan in 2009 but the link between them is very clear to see.�

Snaefell, base on Laverda and Lamborghini styled sidecar

Snaefell Laverda Sidecar Project is amazing creation by Fran�ois Knorreck, a French motorcyclist. This creation is combination between a motorcycle Laverda and parts of cars such as Renault, Citroen, BMW, VW and Audi.
Previously, Fran�ois Knorreck has bought his Laverda in 1976 and turned it into a nicely modified sportbike. But this modified bike was not enough to make him satisfied. Then he turned to make new creation in1993.
Named Snaefell, the creation needed 10 year and 10,000 hours to complete. The completely hand crafted creation features some phenomenal skills in both design and building. The sidecar consists of 63 molds for the parts made of polyester or carbon fiber.
Unlike the body, the power source is still the original Laverda’s 1000cc engine that ended with triple exhaust out the back of the bodywork.
Exterior of the Snaefell is equipped with Lamborghini styled door. Inside the sidecar is equipped with seatbelts.
The stunning creation costs about 15,000 Euros or $21,000. It is not bad for the original creation.

Honda CBR1000RR & CB1000R launched in India

Honda of India has both produced and launched the Upgraded Honda CBF Stunner. But this looks like never enough to satisfy Indian market. This situation leads Honda of India to finally decide that the company will launch the superbike class, Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade and Honda CB1000R.
Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is expected to be around Rs. 13,36,960 while the price of the Honda CB1000R is expected to be around Rs. 10,21,460. Honda of India targets to sell about 100-150 units of both these models per month.
Honda CB1000R naked is powered by a Liquid-cooled 998cm� 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC inline-4 engine. It is produces 11.2 : 1 of compression ratio, 92kW / 10,000rpm of power and 100Nm / 8,000rpm of torque. While the Honda CB1000R is a naked bike, the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade is a real sportbike coming with full of fairing. The Fireblade has more power and torque than the CB1000R naked.

Honda CB300R launched in Brazil

Honda Brazil has finally launched its new entry level naked, the replacement to the CB250 twister-the CB300R. For the time being, Honda will sell this new naked only for Brazil and then South America. The evolution of the Honda CBF250 will enter Europe after confirmation from Honda in the autumn.
Honda CB300R is powered by an air cooled 291cc, 4-valve double overhead camshaft, 4 stroke and single cylinder engine. This engine will give power about 26hp @7500rpm and a torque of 2.9 kgm at 6000 rpm. Equipped with Honda’s Electronic PGM-FI system, the 143kg bike (dry) will have big possibility to enter the European market considering this Honda’s FI make the engine green and passing the Euro emission regulation.
At the front equipped with a 276mm disc. At the back there is a 130mm drum brake, unlikey the its Enduro brother Honda XRE300.
The styling is borrowed from its bigger brother, Honda CB600F Hornet. Honda CB300R has a suggested price of $ 11,490.00. It is higher than the Honda CBX Twister at $ 9,600.00. The customers can choose four color option including silver, black, red and gold.


It is a Honda Hornet like headlamp.

BMW S1000RR priced (MSRP) �15,800 in Europe

BMW 󊸘RR 2010 is priced starting at �15,800 in Europe as the German Motorcycle maker has announced. It is more expensive than the America’s that priced at about $14,500. It looks the price for the European is too high. Previously BMW said that its sportbike will be priced as low as possible to be able to compete with the Japanese sportbike such as Yamaha R1, Honda CBR1000RR and Kawasaki ZX6.
BMW 󊸘RR is equipped with BMW Race ABS system for �950, Race ABS with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for total �1,250, an electric shifter for �370 and an alarm system for �220.
The buyers can choose four color options including Thunder grey, Mineral Silver and Lupin blue-Magma Red-Acid green Alpinewhite (BMW Motorrad Red, White, & Blue) for extra �600.

2010 Honda GL1800 Goldwing, mechanically unchanged, but new colours

Honda of Europe is introducing the 2010 GL1800 Goldwing. Unfortunately, not like the fans’ expectation, the upcoming model comes without featuring any mechanical improvement. Meanwhile the rumors around Honda Goldwing’s forum say that the new 2010 model will come equipped with new more efficient and powerful 2000cc engine.
The new color for the 2010 Goldwing includes black, gunmetal grey and white. The colors are clear but not for the pricing. The pricing is yet to be announced.

Zero DS, a new dual-sport electric motorcycle released

Zero DS, a new street-legal dual-sport electric motorcycle has been released. Zero DS features more off-road capability. It is a combination between the street-only (the Zero S) and the off-roader (the Zero X motocrosser).
Powering the Zero DS is the same motor as rest of the Zero product line. It is powered by a Zero�s Z-Force power pack that consists of the lithium-ion battery. The battery needs just less than four hours for charging via 110 or 220-volt outlets. The motor gives the vehicle about 55 mph of top speed and range of around 50 miles. The DS has just 270 pounds of weight.
Zero DS comes with� knobbier tires, a 17-inch front wheel, updated suspension and a new headlight that make it different from the Zero S model. It also features a round lamp make it different from the S model with the projector beam style.
Zero DS is priced at $9950 with a standard $500 shipping charge anywhere in the Lower 48.
