Zero DS, a new dual-sport electric motorcycle released

Zero DS, a new street-legal dual-sport electric motorcycle has been released. Zero DS features more off-road capability. It is a combination between the street-only (the Zero S) and the off-roader (the Zero X motocrosser).
Powering the Zero DS is the same motor as rest of the Zero product line. It is powered by a Zero�s Z-Force power pack that consists of the lithium-ion battery. The battery needs just less than four hours for charging via 110 or 220-volt outlets. The motor gives the vehicle about 55 mph of top speed and range of around 50 miles. The DS has just 270 pounds of weight.
Zero DS comes with� knobbier tires, a 17-inch front wheel, updated suspension and a new headlight that make it different from the Zero S model. It also features a round lamp make it different from the S model with the projector beam style.
Zero DS is priced at $9950 with a standard $500 shipping charge anywhere in the Lower 48.
