Fujifilm FinePix X100 Camera Sporting Vintage Looks Official, to Debut by Early 2011

Fujifilm has officially introduced the new FinePix X100 12.3-megapixel camera a day ahead of Photokina 2010, and it really looks like the camera is set to grab scores of eyeballs.  Sporting a vintage look, complete with the 1950s metal-and-leather body, the Fujifilm FinePix X100 comes with a 23mm F/2 lens specially created for the device.

The camera also sports an LCD on the rear with specs of 800×600 pixels in 2.8″. Now, that could read as if Fujifilm has elevated its camera tech to iPhone 4 levels in terms of pixel density!
When it arrives, grab your Finepix X100 to play with its APS-C sized CMOS sensor that puts into play Fujifilm’s EXR technology and provides DSLR-level light sensitivity. The bright and fast 23mm f2 prime lens adds to the charm.
With a branding that talks of a hybrid viewfinder, the camera can switch between electronic and optical coverage the way you want it to shoot stills. The official announcement has been made, and it is expected that the device could come in for you to pick by early 2011.

Going by the details of the specs, we guess it wouldn’t be bad to wait till 2011 for the Fujifilm FinePix X100 to actually debut in stores. Such is the wow factor the camera elicits. We are yet to hear what would be on the price tag. Stay with us as we go hunting for more.
