Fujitsu have added to their notebook collection with the new LifeBook T580. Announced during this year’s IFA technology show in Berlin, Fujitsu LifeBook T580 is a convertible tablet PC that ships with 10.1-inch resistive touchscreen that “charms” with its four-finger multitouch. On top of that there’s also a stylus, but if you don’t like it, that can be tucked away.
Rajat Kakar, Vice President Workplace Systems at Fujitsu Technology Solutions says: “The new LIFEBOOK T580 is designed to be used primarily on the move – which is why there is no compromise on connectivity or usability. The new smaller size combines the portability of a slate with the added practicality of a tablet PC, giving LIFEBOOK users the best of both worlds.”
Specs for this new Fujitsu LifeBook T580 include an Intel Core i5 processor, a powerful battery that is supposedly lasting for eight full hours, optional GPS, 3G WLAN and Bluetooth, and lots of business-minded security measures that promise to keep your data safe.
Other than that there are two USB slots, SD card and SmartCard readers, a webcam, and outputs for both VGA monitors and high-definition HDMI display.
From what you can see these are full-size notebook features, packed in a lighter (three-pound) and lower-priced package. Speaking of price, there’s no word for how much the LifeBook T580 Convertible Tablet PC will sell for, but we’ll update you as soon as we have more info.
