Nook Color from Barnes & Noble

To enhance your e-reading experience the Nook Color from Barnes & Noble is finally here. It should brighten up and liven-up your e-reading experience. There were few surprises at the release event, as we pretty much got what we expected from Barnes & Noble. The Nook Color, from the news that is still slowly tricking in, has a pretty good UI. The page turning is apparently not the smoothest, but the LCD screen offers fine viewing and reading experience. So let us take a quick look at the Nook…
For those who are hearing about the Nook for the very first time, it sports a 7-inch display and is powered by Google Android on the inside. The screen is a 16 million color LCD display with 1024 x 600 resolution. There is 8GB of internal memory along with social networking
support in the form of Twitter and Facebook. There is Wi-Fi support, but no 3G yet.
The Nook is available for pre order now on the Barnes & Noble store and will start shipping from November 19. The Nook will support JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP files and while there is no flash support yet, you will get it once it is updated to Android 2.2 The Nook Color will set you back by $249.
