Introduction of New IPS LCD Modules for Medical Applications by HITACHI Displays

Hitachi Displays has developed a 21.3-inch high resolution 5 Mega pixels monochrome LCD modules and a 29.9-inch WQXGA color LCD module based on IPS-Pro technology, featuring an improved brightness, contrast and viewing angle. The monochrome LCD module uses high-transmission IPS, featuring a high resolution, resulting in a maximum brightness of 1200cd/m2 and a contrast ration of 1200:1. In addition to this, the use of 10-bit display drivers on the module plus 3 sub-pixels allows presentation of details in such application as reading mammograms.
The widescreen color LCD module, offers medical professionals with display of larger volume of information on a single screen, for easy comparison of data, plus the 10-bit display drivers allow detailed images in 1 billion colors.
