What's small, black, has a codename associated with Japanese artwork and a spec sheet that is likely to underwhelm even the most ardent fandroid?
The Sony Ericsson ST18i, that's what - a handset which also goes by the codename of the Sony Ericsson Urushi and is looking to crash the mid-level Gingerbread party when it lands in September.
The launch date was reported by GSM Arena, who also managed to nab a whole host of snaps of the Android 2.3.3 device as well as listing some pretty detailed specs.
If accurate, we're looking at a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with the Adreno 205 GPU, 335MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and 720p video shooting, and a 854x480 Bravia
Mobile powered 3.2-inch display.

It could be the Xperia branded phone for you, should your bank balance not stretch to theSony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
