Verizon iPhone Rumored for the Upteenth Time; CDMA iPhone to Begin Production in Q4

Adding to the pile of rumors claiming that a Verizon iPhone is in the works, today we’re hearing that the long-rumored CDMA iPhone may hit the production line, as previously report, in the fourth quarter of 2010.

According to Barron’s who quotes Susquehanna Financial analyst Jeff Fidicaro, after thorough analysis in “Apple’s supply chain”, 3 million CDMA iPhones will get under the hammer before the year’s end (maybe confirming those who said it will launch January 2011). Fidicaro also mentioned that in Q4 2010 Apple is expected to “produce” between 18.2 and 18.4 million units, which is “well above investor expectations”.
For now there’s no official word from Verizon or Sprint — the US carriers who’d most likely carry the CDMA iPhone to their customers, but we wonder, are these rumors only intended to MANIPULATE the AAPL stock?
Does anyone actually care about those Big Red customers who’re eagerly waiting Apple to announce the iPhone for them, too? Or is it only about the stock price? I don’t think I’m wrong saying that Apple is hitting an all time peak these days (and yes I agree, iPhone 4 & iPad are really helping out with sales) …
How about you folks?
