More Than a Million Samsung Wave Sold in Europe

Samsung is not popular in the mobile world because of their success in marketing the new Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, apparently another handset is ranking high when it comes to sales figures. Samsung’s first bada-powered handset, Samsung Wave, has just managed to hit an amazing milestone in the European market — four months after being launched in Europe, the company sold a few more than 1 million units.

For those who don’t remember it, Samsung Wave,  also known as the GT-S8500, was introduced with huge fanfare with dancers, a lights show and TV presenter Jake Humphrey doing an amazing job to grab your attention at at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Samsung Wave comes with a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display, runs on a  1GHz processor, features a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, a microSD card slot for extra storage, GPS, and Samsung Apps support among others.
Will bada be able to take on other platforms given that Windows Phone 7 is knocking at the door and Android is building up trust among consumers?
