SHARP’s New Quick Messaging Mobile Phone Hits US Market

Sharp made an announcement that its STX-2 mobile hand set will be shipped to AT&T. The product will be available for US market through AT&T. The STX-2 which is marketed as “FX” by AT&T supports AT&T Mobile TV which is powered by MediaFLO, a multimedia broadcasting service that is being offered to mobile handsets. Furthermore, it incorporates versatile functions which include popular social networking service (SNS) applications such as Twitter and Facebook.
The FX comes with a 3 inch WQVGA touch screen LCD and QWERTY keyboard. Its support for MediaFLO would allow its users to have access to maximum of fifteen TV channels. The FX was a bit short changed on the camera side in comparison to Japanese model, it comes with measly 2-megapixel camera and it is equipped with A-GPS. It supports HSDPA/UMTS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as Bluetooth, communication protocols. The FX will be available through AT&T starting July 25th, 2010.
