iPad 2 & Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Go Neck & Neck In Tablet Display Comparison

A study that pits several popular tablets against each other to determine the best display among them all reveals which device comes with the king of the displays. And while some people would peg iPad 2 as the winner right off the bat, a closer look at these tablets reveal that the victor is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1
.The study conducted by Dr. Raymond Soneira of DisplayMate looks at the displays of 5 different tablets – Apple iPad 2, Motorola Xoom, Asus Transformer, Acer Iconia A500, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The Apple iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 went neck and neck in the competition, but the latter won, though only “by a nose,” as Dr. Soneira puts it. The iPad 2 still delivers the best quality when it comes to color and accuracy, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab performed better overall. Dr. Soneira notes that all Samsung needs to do to crush the competition when it comes to display quality is add color picture control to the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

In third place comes Asus Transformer, followed by Acer Iconia A500. Motorola Xoom comes last
