LG Unveils The Xnote P210 Notebook With 12.5″ Display

Back in November we saw Lenovo unveil the IdeaPad U260 notebook with its uniquely sized display, and for those who may have missed that announcement — the display is 12.5 inches. Well, as unique as it had been at the time, it looks like Lenovo has officially outed the Xnote P210 notebook.
And yes, the Xnote P210 shares the 12.5 inch display, but perhaps a little nicer on the Xnote is the bezel size, or lack thereof. Though truth be told, there is a bezel around the display, but it appears to be smaller than many notebooks we have seen.
That said, the Xnote P210 has a small bezel and 12.5 inch display. Other specs and features include options for either a 1.33GHz Intel Core i3-380UM or a 1.33GHz Intel Core i5-470UM processor, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 1.3 megapixel webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium. One item left missing is the optical drive, which was most likely left out due to size constraints. You will also note that the similarly sized Lenovo U260 is lacking any optical drive. Then again, for many the optical drive has become a thing of the past, and for those rare times when one is needed — there are always external options that are available on the cheap.

In addition to the hardware specs, the Xnote P210 will be available in a few colors to include all white or pink and white. As for pricing and availability, so far it looks like this one is only heading to the Korean market. The price is said to start at 1,290,000 won, which is roughly $1,125 in terms of US dollar. And while this is speculation, it seems likely that this price would be slightly less expensive should we see a North American release.
With that, it makes you wonder which notebook manufacturer will be the next to roll-out a 12.5 inch offering. Or perhaps a little more intriguing, will a 12.5 inch display become the next big thing in terms of display size?
