This latest is for MSI and makes it seem like they will have their hands full including new offerings in the tablet, notebook and netbook categories.
Yup, despite the earlier suggestion when DigiTimes said MSI would be phased out of the netbook market in the coming year, they are now reporting that they will be unveiling the Wind U160 DX netbook which will come touting the standard netbook sized display, 10.1 inches.
As for notebooks, this is perhaps the widest category for MSI and CES. It looks like these will include offerings from the G series (gaming), F series and C series as well as some ultra-thin models. The ultra-thin models look to include the 12-inch Wind U270 and the 13-inch X-Slim X370 both of which are said to feature a dual-core processor from AMD.
The remaining notebooks breakdown as follows; the 17.3-inch GT780 and the 15.6-inch GT680 and GE620 in the G series, the 15.6-inch CR650, CR640, and CX640 in the C series and yet to be specified models in the F series. Though, the F series models are said to include “MSI’s own raised totem seal coating and color film print to protect against scratching, wear, and smudging.”
And lastly, the tablets. These include two offerings, the WindPad 100W and the WindPad 100A.

“MSI will unveil two new WindPad tablets. The WindPad 100W features the Wintel platform and the WindPad 100A with the ARM/Android platform. They are natively equipped with modules such as G-Sensor gravity detecting devices, an ALS light sensor, and Wi-Fi.”In addition, both the 100W and the 100A will feature 10.1 inch displays, G-sensor and Wi-Fi with the 100A running (a yet to be specified version of) Android and the 100W running, you guessed it, Windows 7 Home Premium.
