CDMA iPhone Release Date Is January 2011, N92 Coming At Verizon Or Sprint3

John Gruber aka the man who knows everything about Apple is back with a new set of rumors which say that the CDMA iPhone 4 version is real and that it’s coming in January. Gruber discussed the hypothetical idea of what a Verizon iPhone would mean and he got to the conclusion that there will be lines for the CDMA iPhone, albeit not as big as those for the AT&T iPhone 4.
The CDMA iPhone is codenamed N92 and it finds itself in the EVT (engineering verification test) status, while soon it should enter the DVT (design verification test) phase. Apple is keeping this a secret and you won’t see anything leaked from Apple. The problem is with manufacturers as Apple has placed orders to various chip makers and we will definitely see leaked parts of the CDMA iPhone 4.
Gruber says that the CDMA iPhone will have the same hardware and design as the iPhone 4, except for the GSM part. John reiterated that the CDMA iPhone might not come at Verizon, and it might hit Sprint instead. Or it might not come to the US at all as it might go to China Telecom or another carrier in the world.
However it’s time for Apple to expand an established product and if Steve Jobs wants to expand then it should do it in the US through Verizon. So this only makes us think that the Verizon CDMA iPhone release date is January 2011 and just like we predicted before, the announcement will be made at CES 2011, while sales will begin by the end of the month.
