ASUS Introduces Eee PC 1015PEM Dual-Core ATOM N550 Powered NetBook

The ASUS 1015PEM NetBook is the first netbook in the United States to feature the Intel ATOM N550 dual core processor and is expected to launch 13 September 2010 and can be purchased through online shopping portals like Amazon.com and other J&R.
The incorporation of the Intel ATOM N550 dual core processor into the Eee PC 1015PEM enables the netbook to deliver an enhanced cloud computing performance with DDR3 @ 1066MHz memory support and longer battery life.
The Intel ATOM N550 processor gives the ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM netbook the processing power it needs to handle games, as well as other advanced software like Adobe Flash.
Windows 7 home reinstalled Asus Eee PC 1015PEM netBook is equipped with 10.1-inch WSVGA LED Backlit display powered by integrated Intel GMA 950 Graphics chipset with shared memory capable of maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels in 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
In terms of performance, the ASUS 1015PEM Netbook has clocked at speeds at least 23 percent faster than single core Intel ATOM processor netbooks.
In addition, ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook features the ASUS-exclusive Super Hybrid Engine technology that ensures all-day computing, delivering a battery life of up to 13 hours.
And in terms of storage space, the ASUS 1015PEM Netbook comes with a 250GB or 320GB hard drive along with 500GB of online storage space thrown in, making it the ideal cloud computing tool.
The screen forms the middle portion of the display frame and is flanked on the sides by stereo speakers. Just above this is an integrated 1.3 Megapixel webcam, placed in the bezel above the LCD. In addition, the Asus Eee PC 1015P also sports build-in stereo speakers and built-in Digital Array Microphones.
Available in Cryatal Black, Pearl White, Royal Blue and Rose Pink colors, the Asus Eee 1015PEM ultra-mobie netBook also features integrated WiFi 802.11b/g/n(draft) Wireless LAN mini PCI-E connection and comes with optional Bluetooth v3.0+ EDR wireless card. The support for 802.11n (draft) allows faster surfing speeds than previous a/b/g wireless standards resulting in quick downloading and streaming of large multimedia files.
In addition, Asus Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook also offers integrated 10/100 Mbit Ethernet LAN connection, an integrated 56kbps Modem/Fax connection and sports 3 USB v2.0 ports for wired connectivity.
The netbook also includes latest USB 3.0 that speeds up file transfers ten-fold when compared to USB 2.0 to give users high speed data transmissions. The USB port can also charge mobile devices even when the 1015PEM is switched off.
In addition, it features latest Bluetooth v3.0 that speeds up mobile device sync times, making them up to eight times faster than the previous Bluetooth standard.
The 10.1-inch ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM netbook comes in a variety of shades and colors and is available in Silky Red, Midnight Blue, and Glossy Pink. For those with a more distinguished taste, there is also glossy and matte black or white finishes to choose from.
