Apple’s Steve Jobs Gives New iPods To All 33 Rescued Chilean Miners

You probably heard the news about the 33 Chilean miners who were rescued from a collapsed mine after more than two months. Besides the fact that all have received $10,000 from a local businessman, Apple’s Steve Jobs said that the company will send each miner a brand new iPod.
The 33 Chilean miners are now famous around the world and lots of interesting stuff happened in Chile as one miner has become a father, and one of them will probably be slapped with a divorce as his mistress met him at the surface when he was rescued.

Lots of companies are looking to market the situation of the 33 Chilean miners including a Greek company which invited them on vacation on a Greek island. Both Manchester United and Real Madrid will send tickets to UEFA Champions League matches.
Well, it’s good to be a star, but this came at a cost and I don’t know how many of you would like to be trapped for more than two months. Congrats to the rescuers and let’s hope that accidents like this will never happen.
