While there is still no permanent root access on the T-Mobile G2 at the moment, folks who want a temporary fix can check out the VISIONary application that is the brainchild of @paulobrien, where it will enable G2 owners a far faster root workaround as currently, root access is lost each time the handset is restarted. Should you find running the application itself each time the G2 is reset a cumbersome thing to do, the second version of the app will now automatically perform its magic with each reboot.
