Sanyo, TomTom, Mazda Coop on New CarNav
Sanyo Consumer Electrics and TomTom NV, the Dutch carnav manufacturer, have teamed up to develop a new built-in car navigation system, Sanyo announced today. The new nav units, featuring a 5.8-inch touchscreen and Sanyo audio/video technology, as well as TomTom’s navigation and real-time traffic software, will be offered by Mazda as an option for its new Mazda5 compact van, to be sold in Europe, starting in 2011.
The car and navigation system are on display at the Paris Motor Show till the 17th of this month.
