Sony Ericsson “Live With Walkman” Announced

Sony Ericsson has officially unveiled another Android running smartphone, and at the same time introduced the latest in the Walkman lineup. The handset is the Sony Ericsson Live with Music and it comes running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and using the Qriocity service for music and video.
Bottom line here, Sony Ericsson has unveiled a new new phone and while it could be considered decently spec’d should it come available today — it is not set to arrive until sometime later in the year. More specifically, the Sony Ericsson Live with Music “will be available globally in selected markets from Q4 2011.”
Given that, as one would assume, the pricing and any carrier partners have not yet been revealed. In terms of features, the handset will arrive sporting a 3.2 inch (480 x 320) capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz processor, 320MB (user free) internal storage, a microSD card slot with 2GB memory card included, 1200 mAh battery, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash, 8x digital zoom and 720p HD video recording.
Otherwise, the Live with Music handset will arrive with other goodies to include;
  • Deep Facebook integration: Allows users to instantly access Facebook through the most used areas of the phone such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar.
  • Media Discovery Application: A dynamic application placing the world of music and videos at consumer’s fingertips including Facebook recommendations from their friends.
  • Infinite button: Tapping it within the media player enables consumers to have instant access to new content about their favourite artist, such as music videos, artist information and lyrics search.
  • Qriocity music and video content services from Sony: Consumers can access millions of songs from all major labels and watch thousands of movies from all major studios. Only Sony Ericsson Android smartphones provide consumers with unique access to the  entertainment services from Sony.
  • Sony’s xLOUD technology: Enhances audio output of the inbuilt speakers at high levels.
  • TrackID: Identifies the music track you are listening to within the FM radio and music player. The track can then instantly be shared or downloaded.
And lastly, the Sony Ericsson Live with Music will measure in at 56.5 x 106 x 14.2mm, weigh in at 115 grams and be available in black and white.
