Malata’s Intel Atom-powered Windows 7 tablet hits the FCC

The HP Slate may not be coming to the consumer market anytime soon, but users looking for a Windows 7 tablet may want to take a look at the Malata PC-A1001, pictured above.  The device, which passed through the FCC today, features a 10.1” LED touch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.3 MP camera, up to a 160 GB hard drive and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, all in a package that measures 10.4” x 6.6” x 0.7” (264mm x 169mm x 18.5mm) and weighs 2.2 pounds.  The device rocks an Intel Atom N450 processor and 1 GB of RAM, which should do a decent job with Windows 7.
We’re not sure if, or when the PC-A1001 will make it to the States – the device is manufactured by Chinese OEM Wanlida Group Co., so a rebranded version of the PC-A1001 may find its way to the United States.
