Our space is being junked with so many space garbage from thousands of dead satellites and other space trash over the last few decades since the first launch of satellite. Will Japan be the next to donate junk into the space?
At least, the soon going for launch Ikaros ‘space yacht’ is using hybrid technology, partly using solar cells to generate electricity. Planning for launching on May 18th, Ikaros space yacht comes with flexible sails that are thinner than a human hair.
Ikaros is equipped with Solar Sails, the technology for space travel without fuel as long as we have sunlight. The presence of electricity would enable us to navigate farther and more effectively in the solar system.
