New Video Shows How Cool Sony Ericsson’s Rachael UI For Xperia X3 Really Is

Last week we presented you fresh details about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 codenamed Rachael thanks to the multimedia playback-friendly gesture-based UI. Well, it’s time for some new details about this rumored smartphone as Sony Ericsson released a bunch of videos of the handset that is going to be unveiled tomorrow. The Xperia X3 is going to be the first SE Android smartphone which is kinda odd considering the fact that the Rachael UI is very similar to Zune HD’s UI that would make any user think that this is a WinMo smartphone.
Not that I’m praising the iPhone, but Apple’s handheld has the best multimedia playback UI in the world, and the only device that can compete against it, is the Zune HD and this means that Sony Ericsson made a good choice in adopting the Zune HD QuickPlay Menu consisting of a cool homescreen, Recently Added and Recently Played options. Along these features you can also find PlayNow, Top 30, and accurate Recommendations which updates themselves very often.
This not the only thing that Sony Ericsson might have duplicated as users will find a crossbar which is very similar with the one that Sony designed for the PS3 and PSP. There are other features that are similar to the Zune HD UI, and you should check out both videos below to see the UI and Sony Ericsson’s sneak peak for “What’s Next?” on November 3. Tomorrow is going to be a great day!
