Just when we start to think that we can believe leaked images that appear to have come from internal systems they go and change things up on us. Of course, in reality we know not to trust leaked images of any kind, but that said, lately they seem to have been mostly accurate. Well, until now and the case of the price increasing Acer Liquid E smartphone.
As we have previously learned, the Liquid E is expected to come available with Rogers sometime in June and we had thought it was going to be priced at $49.99 on contract. That price seems to have gone up and the latest leaked internal image is showing a $79.99 on contract price tag. And by on contract price I do mean the Canadian standard of three years.
The sad part here is that the $49.99 price tag was leaked literally just a few days back. But hey, things change and all things considered $79.99 is probably still not that bad of a price. In terms of off contract pricing, that, at least for now seems to have remained what we last mentioned as $374.99.
In short, expect to pay somewhere between $50 and $80 bucks if you are interested in picking up the Liquid E once it comes available. And a recap on those specs — Android 2.1, 3.5 inch WVGA high definition capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (underclocked to 768MHz), 5 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM and microSD card slot.
Lastly, I guess we should remind that this pricing is still rumored and as we last saw is still subject to change. That said, we will be on the lookout for something official coming from Rogers sooner than later. After all, that June timeframe for a release is beginning to get pretty close.
