Verizon is gearing up to officially unveil the Samsung Galaxy Tab to the world, on Thursday, tomorrow. But it looks like Big Red employees are getting the scoop a day early.
“The clock is ticking – the arrival of our first mobile tablet is just weeks away.”It’s a fact that many other US carriers will want to get their hands on the Galaxy Tab, but for now Verizon is the first to bring the sleek Android tablet to the US borders.
The leaks gives us no clue if that’s a WiFi only model or if there’s a 3G SIM card slot inside. On top of that, we have nothing regarding Verizon’s Galaxy Tab price, but it must be said, it’s going to be a nice little war seeing carriers subsidizing this bad boy.
For those of you who’ve been living under a rock and don’t remember the Galaxy Tab specs, here’s a refresher. It runs Android 2.2, has a brilliant 7-inch TFT-LCD, WSVGA (1024 x 600) touchscreen display and stunning graphics, has Flash 10.1 support and runs on a Cortex A8 1.0GHz chip with 512MB of RAM. It comes with a 3megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash, a 1.3megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, a Gyroscope sensor, Geo-magnetic sensor, Accelerometer and Light sensor, along with a 4,000 mAh battery that is supposedly good for 7 hours of video playback.
How `bout it folks, “are you excited”?
