YourCause, which provides major corporations with an innovative web-based corporate social responsibility platform, partners with GlobalGiving Foundation to offer a seamless experience for donating and volunteering outside the U.S.
YourCause, LLC, a company that provides CSRconnect, an all-inclusive online corporate philanthropy solution, announces their newest partnership with GlobalGiving Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity that provides a safe, effective channel to donate directly to grassroots-based initiatives around the globe.
The partnership will be mutually beneficial in that YourCause and GlobalGiving intend to work together to provide global employee bases with the same type of CSR offering typically delivered to the domestic employees, all within one platform – CSRconnect. This includes integration of the GlobalGiving supplied application programming interface (API) by YourCause, thus allowing all YourCause members, including CSRconnect clients, with the ability to make donations to projects and charities associated through GlobalGiving. YourCause will display and index all current projects and donation opportunities established by GlobalGiving within the CSRconnect and YourCause framework.
“This new partnership means we are one step further to closing the digital divide some global companies see exist,” said Matthew Combs, CEO of YourCause, LLC. “GlobalGiving gives us a secure, credible and valid source of international vetting for all YourCause members seeking to make a charitable donation in a country or cause that may never get funding otherwise.”
In addition, GlobalGiving improves CSRconnect’s ‘Relief Manager,’ the disaster relief response application for corporate clients. The Relief Manager allows, within 24-hours of a disaster, a custom page directing clients and individuals to online fundraising and immediate relief. GlobalGiving now plays a greater role in the Relief Manager process, allowing the most valid international organizations to be selected according to each company’s needs. All projects through GlobalGiving must be prescreened through GlobalGiving’s international grantmaking guidelines to ensure they have a bona fide charitable purpose and meet applicable laws related to international philanthropy. Therefore, GlobalGiving enhances CSRconnect’s disaster relief and crisis platform by making donations more immediate, safe and efficient.
“GlobalGiving is thrilled to be working with YourCause. Our organizations are so well aligned in our desire to make it easy for anyone – regardless of their location or level of resources – to give to specific projects around the world and to have confidence that their funds are getting to the ground and making a difference,” said Donna Callejon, GlobalGiving’s Chief Business Officer. “We hope to provide an integrated solution that is not only efficient but that provides rich content and a great user experience.”
