I think you all remember the great FinePix X100 that Fuji released at Photokina earlier this week, and now we’ve managed to gather some useful information from the press conference. Unfortunately it is a non-zoom device just like Olympus Zuiko that was also launched in Köln.
Adrian Clarke said that they’ve decided to include only a 23mm f/2 fixed lens in order to make image quality even better. We are sure that this is a very big inconvenient for camera users, but for those who don’t mind to move forward and back it’s the perfect device.
The great news is the ship date is March 2011, hitting a retail price of $1000. We can tell that it is affordable, but we do not know for sure if this is the final price. The new FinePix X100 is very solid, but light packers won’t like this for sure because of how heavy it is.
