Britain's top regional pubs according to the Campaign for Real Ale have been announced, with an overall winner to be decided later this year. Here are the regional winners:
Central Southern
The Bell, Aldworth, Berkshire, RG8 9SE
Tel. 01635 578272
'In the same family for 200 years, this traditional country pub is a real gem. The ageless interior includes a one-handed grandfather clock and an unusual glass-walled bar. The pub's location makes it popular with walkers as well as locals and real ale enthusiasts. Delicious filled rolls and tasty desserts complement the excellent beers and award-winning Upton cider.'
