A Community From Germany Sustains Itself With Solar Energy And They Are Producing Four Times The Amount They Use

There is only one light out there that is free and by that I mean the sun. So why shouldn’t we benefit from it even when the night comes. This is the idea of an entire community in Freiburg, Germany.
They have come with the idea that a city can sustain itself with solar energy if it is constructed correctly. So all of the buildings in the town have photovoltaic panels pointed in the right direction. And to make things even better the entire community produces 4 times the energy it consumes.
At 1st all of these things was a vision from Rolf Disc. But when he and the building owners came to a deal he manage to construct 52 homes that are anchored to Sonnenschiff a mixed-use residential and commercial building.

At the top of Sonnenschiff the constructers built a garden that uses at full the solar energy. The irrigation of it it’s made from the rain that falls. Same water is used for toilets and other utilities inside the homes.
This is in my opinion one of the greatest projects I have ever written about. We see concepts every day but when you see one of them really put in practice your hart hopes for a better tomorrow. Good work to all the people that made this one possible.
