Russian Marussia sports car unveiled in the UK!

Russia’s Marussia Motors company and its CEO Nikolai Fomenko have unveiled the first Russian sports car at the British Racing Drivers' Club at the Silverstone Circuit. The car competed against a vehicle of the Virgin Racing team there.
First Russian sports car MARUSSIA was engineered on the basis of a new special chassis, created by Russian engineers. It is a fast sports car with wonderful aerodynamic characteristics.This sport supercars have gone on sale in Moscow for around 100,000 euros, Marussia Motors CEO Nikolai Fomenko told a business daily on Monday.
Despite the steep price tag, in four years' time sales of the mainly hand-tooled vehicle will overtake those of Lamborghini and Ferrari, he told the Vedomosti paper.
The assembly plant, located in Moscow, can manufacture 300 cars a year but has the capacity to produce up to 2,000.
The Marussias - there are three models - are 80% constructed in Russia. The rest are produced under cooperation agreements with the world's leading auto components manufacturers, such as Canada's KW and Britain-based Cosworth.
The first automobile Marussia is equipped with a 3.5 litre petrol engine providing 240bhp. Along with several kinds of outside appearance, the expansion of production range and creation of vehicles of other classes is planned: in particular, more popular among customers, five seats four-wheel drive SUV. A racing version of the car, which is being developed now, will be engineered with respect to contemporary auto racing technologies. At present MARUSSIA is a mid-engined vehicle, but the working on a front- and rear-engined versions of chassis has been already started.
The current models include B1 and B2 Grand Turismo. Marussia SUVs are expected to hit the market next spring.
