LG intros Optimus T entry-level Android handset

LG has introduced a new Android handset, the Optimus T, aimed at budget-conscious consumers. The device expands LG's Optimus lineup, which also includes the Chic, One and S variant. The Optimus T fatures a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording, along with a 2GB microSD card for media storage.
Many of the latest entry-level Android offerings will arrive on the market with Android 2.1, however the T will ship with the latest v2.2 Froyo OS. Users can access the latest Android features, including Voice Actions for spoken commands.

LG has yet to disclose a full set of hardware specs for the Optimus T. The housing appears to match that of the Optimus One, which features a 320x480 touchscreen, 600MHz processor, 7.2Mbps 3G, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Optimus T will be a T-Mobile exclusive, with availability expected near the holidays. Pricing remains unannounced, however the similar Optimus T is headed to Sprint for $50 with a contract.
