Sony Ericsson X8 Smartphone 600 MHz Android 1.6 Launches At $300

When you see companies like Apple and Motorola (this are just some examples that came into my mind) evolving and investing time and money into new technologies it’s hard to understand the strategy others are thinking. This time we are talking about Sony Ericsson.
Everyone that has a decent smartphone and loves these gadgets will have probably installed on it Android 2.x. Then why would you launch an Android 1.6 base handset? Maybe there are places in third world countries where they didn’t heard about the better upgrade that is out there.
The best part of the product we think is the price: only $300. It will have a 3-inch screen, the processor will have 600 MHz and at the back of it a 3.2 camera with fixed focus. The name of the product is X8 and Sony officials say it will get the 2.1 Android update after the X10 product.
Why won’t you just launch it with the upgrade beats us.
