Verizon CDMA iPhone 5G Release Date Is January 2011, Says Report

The Verizon iPhone rumors have reached the next level as the WSJ reports that Apple is working on a special CDMA iPhone only for the Big Red. The WSJ says that it’s not just an iPhone 4 with a CDMA chip, it’s a special Verizon version which features a Qualcomm chipset and there are no indications that it will support LTE.
The last part is kinda sad considering the fact that the Verizon CDMA iPhone release date is early 2011, just like the release of the 4G network. Anyway the CDMA iPhone will be manufactured by Pegatron and like said it won’t be a dual-mode device (no world iPhone for you mister), and yes, it will be considered the 5th generation iPhone.
The sources also claim that Verizon is working closely with Apple to test the CDMA iPhone and the Big Red’s network as well so that the users won’t encounter any traffic congestion problems.  So what do you think? Will Apple and Verizon introduce the CDMA iPhone by the end of the year and then release it in early 2011?
